Wine Tasting Thierry Delaunay Sauvignon Blanc
Name: Thierry Delaunay Sauvignon Blanc
Variety: Sauvignon Blanc
Region: Loire Valley
Country: France
Year: NV
Price: $10.95
Winery review: Sauvignon Blanc from France's Loire Valley are wonderfully aromatic and bursting with minerality and freshness. Thierry Delaunay harnasses these characters magnificently in their Sauvignon Blanc from the Touraine sub-region that borders Vouvray. Clay and gravelly soils help give this great Sauvignon its zest and complexity.
My review: This wine had a slight Durian smell to it. It was very settle but you can still get small whiffs of it. It had a nice pineapple taste with a little bit of tartness. There was a Durian after taste to the wine as well, which I liked because I love the Durian fruit. This wine had very good balance.
I tasted this on its own with no food.
